Sr. Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer and Architect within our Performance Services practice, working with a variety of our clients. In this role you will be providing strategy, architecture, and operational support for LAN and WAN technologies such as switches, routers, VPN, and circuits. In addition to support, you will be involved in building and configuring network infrastructure and security solution components at our client.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the ability to:

  • Participate in development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization of data centers, enterprise and disaster recovery of network infrastructures
  • Experience with wireless technologies such as Cisco WLC, prime infrastructure
  • Align architectural strategy with business objectives
  • Continually find ways to improve cost performance
  • Ensure system availability, redundancy, security, and performance of network equipment and functions
  • Produce engineering and installation plans to support new initiatives as well as prepare reports and documentation on the existing network configuration as required
  • Expert-level working experience with Cisco IOS including configuration and troubleshooting
  • CCNP/ CCIE or equivalent working experience
  • Fluent and demonstrated experience of routing protocols to include: BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, OTV and QoS.
  • Cisco Nexus Product Experience required
  • Experience configuring Fexes
  • Problem management, diagnosis, escalation, tracking and resolution
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on the deployment of network technologies
  • Perform traffic engineering analysis on network facilities
  • In-depth knowledge of network equipment including Cisco routers, and switches
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools
  • Assist in compiling training materials to support operational requirements
  • Report project status on a weekly basis
  • Performs network implementation services in conjunction with infrastructure teams
  • Follow established development processes and standards for all work
  • Participate in complex projects with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Manage vendor and/or product provisioning, procurement, and delivery of LAN and WAN hardware and data services hardware and software
  • Acts as a resource for infrastructure projects for data network design, development, and implementation
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients
  • Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, prepare reports and presentations
  • Experience managing multiple technology projects simultaneously

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent required
  • 5 years’ minimum of similar work experience in a client facing role
  • Minimum 3 years of architecture and project experience supporting and implementing network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches).
  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification preferred
